About the Data-center Networking Architect

Fast growing NextNet Partners is looking for an experienced Senior Cisco Network Consultant/Architect in Tempe, AZ. The candidate must have strong Route, Switch, Security and Datacenter knowledge and experience. This role will be responsible for the execution of network planning, design, implementation and optimization projects and support services as a post sales consultant.

In addition to technological aptitude, and the ability to learn quickly and stay current, the ideal candidate's interpersonal, presentation and troubleshooting skills must evoke passion and confidence.

Job Requirements:

At Least 5+ Years of experience and knowledge of:

  • Enterprise scale Cisco Network Engineering
  • Cisco Routers, Nexus and Catalyst Switches, and ASA/Firepower Firewalls
  • Strong working knowledge of UCS configuration and management
  • Cisco ACI and ISE configuration and management skills desirable
  • Working in a pre and post sales engineering role
  • CCNP or CCIE certification required
  • Strong documentation and organizational skills
  • Working knowledge of VMware, AWS and Azure related networking technologies a plus
  • Experience working for Cisco or a Cisco Partner is a plus
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Strong problem solving skills and ability to provide technical expertise as needed

Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the delivery of network planning, design, implementation & optimization services primarily as a post sales consultant to ensure long term client success.
  • Support pre-sales efforts related to networking and network security projects and opportunities.
  • Lead the delivery of network solutions including routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers and other network hardware appliances.
  • Oversee/perform new and existing equipment, hardware, and software upgrades.
  • Perform installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of customer managed hardware, software, and peripheral devices.
  • Conduct research on network products, services, protocols, and standards to remain abreast of developments in the networking industry.
